The Flutes
Hand crafted in the heart of England these haunting, mystical instruments honour the Native American tradition, while seeking to create something that captures the mysticism and spirituality of these Celtic lands.

Each flute is invidually decorated using pyrography, with designs inspired by crop circles. Distinctive to Nightstar Flutes is the dragons head tone block.

Ordering Bespoke Flutes
Whilst I keep a small stock of flutes at all times, I can make a flute to your specification. This can be of a particular wood, in a particular key. Flutes can be inscribed with a name or short dedication. I can also make left handed drones if required. Each flute is unique; each has its own voice, your flute is waiting for you.

New Style Flutes
I am now making a new style flute to complement the traditional Native American design.

The voice box of this instrument is similar to that used in whistles and recorders. This removes the need for a block and makes the flute shorter than the Native American for a given key.
This makes the new flute excellent for back packing and carrying around as the profile is smooth – nothing to catch on straps etc.
All flutes are available as 5 or 6 hole pentatonic natural minor and 6 and 7 hole major scale.

Chord Flutes - Constructed with three or four sound chambers, these instruments will play a full chord.		Wishsong Flutes - Our highest quality flutes, made from specially hand picked timbers.
